Since 1919, after the Great War

The cooperative was founded in 1919, at the end of the First World War. Its name is a tribute to Cesare Battisti. Inspired by his figure, 19 fellow citizens of Vetralla, returning from the front, pooled their resources and their passion for the land: the Cesare Battisti Agricultural Cooperative was born, dedicated to grapes, cereals and extra virgin olive oil.

How our oil is made

The oil is the result of a meticulous process that starts from the members’ olives, processed within 12-24 hours with a continuous cycle and cold extraction. A method that keeps intact the organoleptic properties and that pungent note, a sign of quality, given by the polyphenols. The stages: defoliation, washing, crushing, malaxation, centrifugation and filtration.
